BI Data Analyst

BetterCloud is looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical thinker to join our Data Services team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and eager to roll up their sleeves and support the company’s data initiatives. The candidate will act as a core member of the data team integrating multiple data sources into a SQL database to create comprehensive analysis and dashboards to drive operational efficiency. You will be an integral part in data capture, storage, and analysis from business systems across the organization. This will include improving the ways in which the data is captured, evaluating new SAAS applications, drawing critical insights and trends by merging and parsing through mountains of information, and presenting your findings in a clear articulate fashion.

* Work with business leadership to unify data sources acting as a strategic partner thinking through complex problems and creating scalable outside the box solutions * Write SQL queries to unify data from multiple sources within our SQL database * Create dashboards for C-Suite and department leads to help them run their business units. * Work autonomously - Can be asked a complex problem, independently think through a solution, and work internally to present findings / outcomes in a swift concise manner. Not afraid to navigate any internal follow ups. * Strong communication skills - able to clearly distill and articulate complex concepts, getting to the core of an analysis. * Track internal progress towards our business goals and ensure accountability and transparency. * Perform ad-hoc analysis of BetterCloud’s business as needed.

* Bachelor’s degree. * Strong SQL / Data presentation skills in order to unify large complex data sets across multiple systems * 2-5 years of professional experience: candidates with backgrounds in business intelligence, data analysis/science or business preferred * Strong organizational and analytical skills * Must be entrepreneurial minded and able to influence others to achieve business aims * Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Exceptional written and communication skills in order to iterate effectively with business leadership under tight deadlines * Thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and comfortable with ambiguity * Degree from a top tier school with a proven track record of professional success
