Responsibilities
Role Summary: - Responsible for application development and maintenance for delivering business value online. - Follows the software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing and deployment. - Supports applications in production. Key Responsibilities: - Using current programming language and technologies to write basic code, fix defects and support production. - Writes system test scripts, performs testing and fixes software. - Completes basic documentation needed to support applications from development phase to maintenance phase. Creates deployment automation and run books for production support.
Ideal Candidate
Education Level Required: - Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience Experience Required: - 0-2 years of related experience; additional 2 years experience without BS/BA Technical Skills Required: - Able to write software applications in both web and service oriented environments using one of the following languages Java, Groovy, Javascript, or Ruby. - Knowledgeable of one or more of the following specifications HTML, XML, SQL, CSS and REST Web Services. Knowledge Required: Developing: - OO Programming Languages - Front-End Web Languages and Frameworks - Operating systems - Relational Databases
