Lead Data Scientist for Pricing Team

At Beepi, people are at the heart of everything we do. It all started with one person - our CEO, Ale Resnik - and his horrible car buying experience. After doing a ton of research and test driving a certified pre-owned car, he bought the car only to have it catch fire days later. Ale met Owen Savir, both serial entrepreneurs obsessed with breaking down complex problems, and together they vowed no one should ever have that bad experience again.

* Build machine learning models to predict user behavior and constantly improvise the used car pricing algorithm to be the best in the industry * Use statistics, NLP and machine learning techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems * Build out real-time analytics that dynamically adjust the Beepi product suite to adapt to the needs of the user at breakneck speeds * Lead and mentor other analysts for creating project pipelines and best practices * Guide in the design and implementation of novel large-scale structured text processing and information retrieval tools * Design and implement production quality code for mission-critical Java server applications

* Must have a MS or PhD in Computer Science or Statistics related * 4+ years of experience in machine learning or related field * Proven track record of working on complex modular projects, and assuming a leading role in such projects * Expert knowledge of SQL, R, Python, Javascript * Ability to execute research projects, generate practical results to recommend to the both the engineers, as well as the executive team * Experience with scripting languages (i.e. Javascript, Python) preferred * Experience with natural language processing, lexical analysis, and semantic processing a plus
