As Senior Electrical Resident Engineer, primary engineering activities will be to provide technical support to Construction in their completion of the installation of electrical materials and equipment. Contribute directly to the installation and construction of electrical systems and equipment for the entire facility per approved design. Works closely with construction to close FCR’s, CDR’s and NCR’s. Support work may include the use of SETROUTE, BlockDraw, and ETAP for the WTP design. Individual must have extensive understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line and 3-line drawings, schematics, and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations. Provides leadership, training, and consultation to junior level engineers. Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for applicability to electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks. Ability to cope with conflicting deadline, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks. Must be a self-starter and capable of independent creative design, with direction, using Bechtel and industry proven concepts, and procedures. Must work well with others, other disciplines, and groups. Must have experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program, and be able to input and complete corrections to the data base. Must be able to effectively communicate, and work well with others and within a team. Must be able to work well with other disciplines. Must know how to use computer programs such as the Microsoft WINDOWS suite of programs.

* BS degree in electrical engineering with 6 year of related electrical experience; MS degree with 4 years of related electrical experience * Eligible Foreign National applicants must possess a US Government issued Green Card and successfully go through a government screening process * Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check * EIT Certification or able to obtain within 12 months of employment * Minimum Qualifications * Hands-on Microsoft office programs * Knowledge & application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards * Knowledge on electrical systems, schematics and electrical equipment layouts * Familiar with ETAP and other industry wide electrical system design tools, such as CAD 2D and cable designing and routing software * Experience with an electronic Cable Management System * Excellent oral & written communications skills * Preferred Qualifications * PE Registration * Lead or supervisory experience * 2 years of experience in the role of a Senior Resident Electrical Engineer on a nuclear industrial facility * Hands-on experience with SETROUTE program, and be able to input and complete corrections in the data base * Previous Bechtel and/or DOD or DOE project experience * Position located in Richland, WA * Assignment Duration: 12+ months * Shaping tomorrow together
