Operations Specialist

Supervises facility operations, including utilities and production. Supervises operators, subordinate superintendents and others as directed. Ensures operational activities are in compliance with specifications and that they are within schedules and budgets. Performs the general functions inherent in a supervisory position. Schedules, coordinates, and supervises operations for a small, single-operation facility.

- Supervises the activities of assigned personnel. - Conducts and reviews performance evaluations of assigned staff. - Determines and recommends staffing requirements - Schedules work to be performed and monitors work progress. - Assists in the preparation of operational manuals and procedures which govern facility operations and monitors adherence to same. - Is responsible for the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures and instructions for facility operations and ensures that all state and federal codes, requirements and standards are complied with. - Prepares progress and expenditure forecasts and other operational reports as required. - Coordinates operational activities and provides technical input to facility personnel and representatives of the client when instructed by the responsible manager. - Monitors the activities of sub-contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules. - Implements approved training programs for designated personnel to ensure progressive training. - Monitors labor relations within the assigned area.

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific discipline with at least 9 years of relevant experience or in lieu of a degree, at least 15 years of progressive related experience **Minimum Qualifications** - Demonstrated knowledge and experience in operations and maintenance projects. - Skill in supervision and administration. - Skill in the preparation of oral and written reports. **Relocation Authorized:** * National - Family **US Citizenship Required:** * Yes **Other Requirements:** * Pre-employment drug screen, background check **Other Requirements:** * Required certification and licenses applicable to the position
