Platform Services Engineer

Central and Southern Delaware’s largest health care system, Bayhealth is comprised of Kent General and Milford Memorial hospitals, the freestanding Emergency Department in Smyrna as well as numerous satellite facilities and employed physician practices encompassing a variety of specialties.

Primary duties will include administration of platform hardware, software and security in a multi-platform environment, technical documentation, project management, engineering, issue resolution, and technical presentations.

In addition to the minimum/preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision; extraordinary analytical and design ability; a high degree of creativity; in depth knowledge of the business implications of technical approaches, directions and solutions and the ability to innovate in highly complex technical areas.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology required; Master's preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years (4 years preferred) of experience in advanced IT support and networking to include: Server build and configuration, network Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cabling, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VoIP
• Computer/Software Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft 2003 and 2008 Server OS; Hardware knowledge with HP server platform equipment; Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Ethernet networks, Server and PC hardware, network printers, Microsoft Office, IBM Lotus Notes, DNS and DHCP required.
• Experience with SCCM, SCOM and WSUS and knowledge of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, VMWare and Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies preferred.
• License/Certification: Microsoft MCSE, Citrix CCA, VMWare VCP, ITIL and/or Six Sigma preferred
