QE Engineer

Appcelerator, the leading mobile cross-platform technology provider is seeking a QE/Software Engineer with an excellent understanding of cloud technology and test methodology for our San Jose headquarters. We are looking for a hands-on lead who will test, develop test tools and frameworks where required, and help the team achieve quality goals. Appcelerator’s cloud products integrate with our mobile and web tools and provide a dynamic and challenging environment in which to apply your skills while gaining knowledge about our products and technology. Primary responsibilities include evaluating new products and features, developing test approaches and tools, participating in and driving testing to completion, assisting in product releases, and acting as a resource for the QE team and company in general regarding cloud technology and testing.

* Develop tests using new or existing automation infrastructure * Evaluate product features and participate in product planning * Evaluate product quality needs and develop test plans * Deliver clear status for testing areas in a timely manner * Develop test cases to prevent discovered issues from reoccurring * Maintain a thorough understanding of product functionality * Write clear and accurate bug reports * Drive testing to completion with personal participation and utilizing cloud QE resources * Safeguarding Axway and Appcelerator customer data through compliance with Axway/Appcelerator policies and the appropriate use of Axway/Appcelerator equipment and facilities.

**Skills / Qualifications:** * At least 4 years professional QE experience * Javascript and Node experience * Active scripting skills * Familiarity with cloud computing technologies * Familiarity with web test tools * Experience with continuous integration systems * Experience developing automated tests and frameworks **Nice to have:** * 2+ years of professional Linux or UNIX system administration experience * Exposure to open source software developmental methodologies is an advantage * Experience with JIRA * Experience with Amazon S3 * Elastic search experience * Mongo experience **Education:** - BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry work expereince.
