IT Infrastructure Specialist

* You will be the first dedicated Infrastructure resource based in North America as part of the Information Systems unit within Axis. * Provide and maintain a secure, reliable and effective global IT infrastructure at Axis. * Design and maintain Axis server & virtualization platforms, network, storage & backup, security, remote access, cloud platforms and phone systems. * Work closely with R & D to design and implement the infrastructure and services used in our commercial offerings. * Represent the region and its needs, while still working closely with both the local IT team and the overseas Infrastructure team based in Sweden. * With responsibility for over sixty sites around the world, direct involvement in the commercial offering and always striving to stay independent from consultants by keeping expert knowledge in-house - we are not your typical IT department.

**What We Are Looking For** * Several years of working experience in a global IT environment * Comprehensive understanding of the complexities of an ever changing environment. * Team player who can work independently if needed. * Open and driven personality with a passion for what you do. * Great customer-service and inter-personal skills. **What you’ll need** * At least 7 years of experience in the IT industry * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Strong experience and knowledge of: * Switching/Routing * HP switches * LAN, VLAN, WLAN & WAN technologies * OSPF, BGP (Cisco platform) * Cisco Call Manager * IP phones and VCEs * Network and CUCM provisioning of new units (ports, DNS, DHCP, CUCM-related) * Troubleshooting of network issues affecting existing units * Troubleshooting of registration, SIP and SCCP-related issues * Voice/Video Tier-2 troubleshooting * Devices registration * Extension and URI-based call routing issues * SIP trunks and ILS * Eventual poor quality scenarios * GeoDNS * Escalation to and further troubleshooting with vendor (Cisco) when needed * Expressways infrastructure * Manual backups * Reactive support upon notifications * Basic call set-up troubleshooting * Support to Tier-1 (Helpdesk) on eventual issues affecting VCEs in Lund * Escalation to and further troubleshooting with vendor (Cisco) when needed * Firewalls * Cisco ASA/IOS * PF or IPtables/NFtables * Infrastructure services * DNS/NTP/DHCP * Web Proxy * Radius * Load balancing mostly KEMP * Network * TCP/IP knowledge at expert level * 802.1x and EAP * OS * Linux Debian/Ubuntu/RedHat * FreeBSD or similar BSD * Windows server * Other * Integration with cloud * Good understanding of encryption and PKI * Experience from company integration * Juniper Client VPN **Physical Demands and Travel** The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
