Summary
The American Wind Energy Association is seeking a developer skilled with MS SQL, MS.NET, and VB.NET and C#.NET Web site and Database and Business Intelligence development.
Responsibilities
- Work with software engineer to develop applications for web access and database integration - Analyze stakeholder’s needs and conduct research, evaluation and recommendation - Document all requirements, design specifications, work flows and code comments - Maintain a secure software environment that protects AWEA’s intellectual property and data - Business Intelligence and Analytics development - Assist in the systems administration, some of which include: - AMS (association management system) - CMS (content management system) - Email marketing system - Online community platform - Webinar - Blog - Project management - Provide IT administrative support to Director, Information Technology as needed - Provide general IT helpdesk support to the staff as needed
Ideal Candidate
- MS SQL Development: understanding of tables, views, stored procedures, functions, primary and foreign keys, relationships, triggers and ability to write scripts for same - MS .NET Development: understanding of web development, database development, in both VB.NET and C#.NET, as well as understanding of object-oriented structures, MVC structures, web-service calls and API interfaces - BI (Business Intelligence) Development: understanding of collecting, crafting and analyzing data from various data sources. Working knowledge of BI tools like Microsoft Power BI and/or SAP BusinessObjects. - Association Management System (AMS, Personify preferred): understanding of the data structures, underlying SQL tables and relationships, API objects and web service calls - Content Management System (CMS, WordPress, CMS Plus preferred): understanding page layout, graphics design, CSS style sheet, mobile/responsive design, SEO optimization, Google Analytics reporting - Microsoft SharePoint/Office and Web development: SharePoint development and administration, Excel Pivot Table, Access database, JSON, XML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET - Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, SQL Server 2008/2012/2014, SharePoint Server 2007/2010, Exchange Server 2010/2013, VMWare vSphere 5/6 - Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/8, Office 2010/2013, Apple Mac OSX 10.x, Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
