Serve as the Avaya Services’ focal point for questions and decisions pertaining to Services Readiness on concurrent pre-Launch Products or Solutions. Define and articulate AGS serviceability requirements as they apply to specific products and technologies. Monitor non-AGS project efforts to identify potential obstacles from a Services perspective. Ensure AGS compliance on AGSP deliverables. Negotiate product serviceability and Pre-Launch business priorities as a member of the Product “Core” Team made up of key Avaya Business Units including, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing etc. Lead recurring meetings with all AGS business units to:
- Share project concerns and questions from core team
- Identify gaps and concerns from AGS teams regarding serviceability and readiness
- Develop a Services recommendation and
- Project manage overall services efforts to ensure compliance with deliverables schedule by Phase
- Document and communicate with Services AGSP Leadership outages, mitigation plans and readiness for official AGSP voting at each AGSP gate.
- The Services Program Manager (SPM) is the key resource for ensuring that that all organizations within AGS are ready to install, service and support newly launched Avaya products. They do this by actively engaging on all aspects of the product rollout beginning in the Concept Phase and continuing until steady state is reached, typically some months after Launch.
- The SPM participates in Product Meetings through all phases of the AGSP process. The goal in doing this is to: Identify concerns or outages that would impact AGS, Represent the needs and positions on decisions around product readiness and launch from the AGS perspective, and to strategize and negotiate an effective rollout to meet the needs of Services and our customers.
- The SPM is the producer and editor of product support plans and services presentations. Contributes and provides feedback on Product House presentations and various products supporting documentation.
- During these same phases, the SPM leads recurring meetings at which representatives of each of the divisions within AGS discuss and strategize on the optimal Services approach. Key elements of the decision process include installation, troubleshooting, and repair, training optimization and overall Services Preparedness for Launch.
- The SPM is responsible for ensuring that AGS Leadership is properly informed and briefed on Project status, outages and mitigation plans. They will provide leadership with assessments and recommendations as official AGSP gates are approached.
