Director, Executive and Global Compensation

The Avaya Global Compensation team is looking for an experienced compensation professional to drive the design, implementation, and communication of the executive compensation program and compensation center of excellence for Avaya. The successful candidate will also support the Vice President of Compensation and Benefits on matters for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Designing and management of the executive compensation program
- Preparing materials for management and the Compensation Committee
- Leading the equity planning/long-term incentive planning for the Company
- Analyzing various designs and recommending programs that support the Company’s executive compensation philosophy
- Preparing communications related to executive and global compensation programs
- Collaborating with Finance, HR, Legal, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Stock, and Payroll on executive and global compensation and equity matters
- Development of employee communications and training materials
- Actively supports CD&A and proxy preparation, M&A activity, internal audits, risk assessments, legal matters, and the understanding of market practices
- Design and administration of broad-based short-term incentive compensation programs
- Design and administration of merit and other non-sales compensation programs
- Work to reduce cost/risk by utilizing strategic, analytic, and financial skills, and optimizing global vendor structures/management
- 10+ years of experience in executive and employee compensation
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree and/or CEP/CCP preferred
- Experience establishing performance-based incentive and equity programs
- Exceptional excel skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills

- Highly collaborative style and strong team orientation
- Ability to effectively advise senior leaders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High integrity and ethics in handling confidential information

- Knowledge of relevant regulatory issues
- Experience in global high-tech, software and services business preferred
