Communications Intern

The Communications Intern will work with staff on all media related activities, developing general communications initiatives, help create website content, and assist in the creation of media materials such as press releases. This is a perfect internship for someone who is a self-starter, detail oriented, creative thinker, not afraid to roll her/his sleeves up and is interested in working with a dedicated team.

The Internship will focus on Public Relations, Press Releases, Internal Communication and feedback, External Communication and feedback, Business Networking and Creative Solutions.

Student must be currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or English. Strong computer, writing and communication skills are necessary for successful completion of duties. Communications Intern must also:

• Possess skills at initiating innovative ideas and judging correctly what will appeal to target audiences
• Exceptional writing ability
• Ability to collect and synthesize information from diverse sources
• Must be reliable, responsible, and be able to meet deadlines.
• Must be creative, resourceful, and a team player.
