Summary
The Content Strategist leads strategy, content creation, and implementation of new media initiatives for clients. This role applies digital, content, and writing expertise to provide vision into a diverse set of digital solutions. Content Strategist will oversee and help improve the work of the team’s writers and other creatives. The Content Strategist helps clients adopt "outside-in" philosophies and practices to help them become more competitive.
Responsibilities
* Leads development of strategy for content creation in all phases of Offering Development projects. * Develops user-centric messaging and copy for offering sales and sales enablement materials * Interviews Global Portfolio Leads and other SME’s to capture ideas and value propositions * Provides guidance on materials development to Creative Team * Provides strategy and content for user-centric internal communications * Researches and leverages data and other intelligence to shape strategies and metrics that help clients adapt to changing markets and trends * Helps develop and enforce team SLAs * Creates and/or recommends relevant digital marketing strategies, tactics, and content to develop actionable strategic and tactical plans that gain buy-in from clients * Works with sales, delivery, and strategy leads to win new business * Leads development of content strategies for initiatives and communications * Leverages digital and new media expertise to drive client results * Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements: * Extensive experience with digital/new media techniques * Experience creating and managing workflow (including creating and managing governance) to support the creation of internal and external offering materials * Experience working in agency, B2B and/or B2C setting in copywriting, marketing, content creation, or strategy role * Creative thinker and assertive problem solver with a keen, quick, analytical mind * Experience targeting specific goals, focused metrics and KPIs when setting strategy, but able to see beyond the metrics as needed * Proficient with best practices for SEO, social media, email marketing, and blog writing * Maintains active presence in relevant digital strategy communities
Ideal Candidate
**Preferred Education Background:** * Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or similar field **Preferred Years of Work Experience:** * 10-15 years **Preferred Years of Management Experience:** * 5 years **Scope of Work:** * Business or thought leader responsible for managing and driving front-line operations and execution of one or more projects, programs, or services * Focused on creating and executing plans to meet established operational objectives, and able to establish new operational objectives * Scope of responsibility is large-scale/complex * Requires depth and breadth of business knowledge beyond own discipline to ensure appropriate operational integration **Accountabilities & Metrics:** * Accountable for verifying accuracy and quality of others' work products against established standards, precedents, and best practices * Accountable for training targets * Accountable for project and annual goals **Relevant Additional Details:** * Agency Copywriting Experience Preferred
