Senior Engineering Manager

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Engineering Manager to join our Shared Services Engineering team. Shared Services team builds the foundational services that empower our engineering/platform teams to work more efficiently and ensure our internal and external services are reliable, scalable, and performant

• Responsible for building Shared libraries and infrastructure components – that enables our Engineering teams build highly scalable and available platforms
• Lead and Manage a team of engineers that are designing, building, and maintaining common tools and frameworks that can be leveraged by the Engineering teams
• Collaborate with other Engineering leaders to develop end to end vision for the team and own the delivery
• Establish a strategy for Monitors and Alerting mechanism for distributed systems to measure the health of the platforms
• Strong passion for simplification of tools and processes across all our engineering teams
• Drive for standardization of Tools for builds and deployments and building CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• Prior experience with designing and developing custom tools and frameworks with open source tools and libraries
• Experiences with design and developing systems in distributed architecture
• Experience with key technologies and tools such as Java, Javascript (angular, node), Bootstrap, JRuby, AWS
• Experience with using Application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Newrelic, Splunk .e.t.c
• Prior experience with delivering infrastructure or platform as service
• Experience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
• Excellent communication and written skills
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5 + years of Hands on experience in managing a team of engineers
