Full-Stack Python/ Django Engineer

Atlantic Media is the parent company of The Atlantic, CityLab, Defense One, Government Executive, National Journal, Quartz, The Wire and more.

The full-stack engineer will write well-documented and maintainable Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS code in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving our custom content management system and web platform, and adding and deploying new features to our two websites: TheAtlantic.com and CityLab.com.

* Ability to define and communicate a technical vision, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills * Familiarity with the Django web framework * Ability to translate a design into a working website using HTML5 and CSS3 * Experience writing complex high performance Python powered websites * Experience with GIT version control * Knowledge of SQL and relational database design and optimization * Comfortable using Linux / Unix command line * Strong attention to detail while implementing technical specifications * Demonstrated problem-solving skills
