Software Governance Manager

AT&T is a telecommunications company that provides wireless communications, local exchange, and long-distance services for consumers and businesses in the United States and internationally.

The AT&T Entertainment Group is looking for an experienced engineer to join the Software Governance team.

• Subject matter expert in regards to software governance; determining software development best practices and procedures.
• Create Whitepapers and Functional specifications defining software requirements for projects and features.
• Participate in architecture and development of cutting edge systems & applications
• Establish and maintain partnerships with cross functional groups.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree with a background in software development, or electrical engineering.
• Experience in creating technical documentation, such as functional requirements, whitepapers, technical standards, Test Plans, API’s or interface documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to tailor communication to an audience to achieve desired results.
• Excellent technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Cable or Satellite television technology (e.g. MPEG -2 Transport, H.264)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and design
• Knowledge of mobile, social media and emerging technologies.
• A background in Data Science
• Understanding and experience using version control
