Senior Data Analyst

Position is Senior Data Analyst in support of the Army National Guard RCMS project. Candidate will work as a member of a team providing data research, analysis and report generation of National Guard manpower-related data.

Determines business information needs and identifies system requirements.

Analyzes business intelligence data and provides reports.

Acts as liaison between information technology and National Guard (end user organizations.

Ensures data accuracy.

Assesses data extraction, report generation, and bugs appearing in operations involving the data warehouse.

The candidate will follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in all aspects of their software development and maintenance duties.

May participate in full software development lifecycle: analyzing requirements, developing designs, implementing and testing software/web applications and assisting in developing technical solutions.

Will report to a program manager and provide guidance and oversight to junior staff performing this same function.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 4-6 years related experience.

Should have significant experience with a variety of data warehouse/data mart concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks related to analysis of data including validation, identification of anomalies, and cleansing.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must have very good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Required Clearance:
- U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Desired:
- Hands on experience with CMMI and ISO 9001:2008, familiarity with government policies/procedures, and Army manpower systems is a plus.
