Summary
Position is Senior Data Analyst in support of the Army National Guard RCMS project. Candidate will work as a member of a team providing data research, analysis and report generation of National Guard manpower-related data.
Responsibilities
* Determines business information needs and identifies system requirements. * Analyzes business intelligence data and provides reports. * Acts as liaison between information technology and National Guard (end user organizations. * Ensures data accuracy. * Assesses data extraction, report generation, and bugs appearing in operations involving the data warehouse. * The candidate will follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in all aspects of their software development and maintenance duties. * May participate in full software development lifecycle: analyzing requirements, developing designs, implementing and testing software/web applications and assisting in developing technical solutions. * Will report to a program manager and provide guidance and oversight to junior staff performing this same function.
Ideal Candidate
*Required Skills, Experience, and Education:* * The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 4-6 years related experience. * Should have significant experience with a variety of data warehouse/data mart concepts, practices, and procedures. * Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Performs a variety of tasks related to analysis of data including validation, identification of anomalies, and cleansing. * A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. * Must have very good command of the English language, both written and verbal. *Required Clearance:* - U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. *Desired:* - Hands on experience with CMMI and ISO 9001:2008, familiarity with government policies/procedures, and Army manpower systems is a plus.
