Responsibilities
The Senior Sales Executive is an individual contributor will drive sales growth through identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new business relationships through a consultative, B2B solution sales approach. * Identify potential new business opportunities by managing a well defined sales prospect assignment within the Connected Home business segment. * Utilize a focused and disciplined consultative solution sales methodology, tools and approach with prospective, B2B customers. * Analyze industry strategies and trends, understand prospective clients’ business objectives, and tailor Assurant’s product and service capabilities to drive mutual value and alignment. * Build consensus among various stakeholders both externally and internally by navigating organizationally the decision making process to successfully execute the unique sales strategy by prospective client. * Close new business opportunities by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations, and various organizational functions. * Continuous updating of one’s skill set by proactively participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. * Enhance organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value to through internal leadership and alignment to meet sales objectives. * Expected travel: 60% to 75% domestically.
Ideal Candidate
Required Skills & Education: * Bachelor degree * 7 plus years of demonstrated successful B2B solution sales experience at the C-Suite level of industry leading companies. * Cable, Satellite, Home Automation and or Home Security experience required Other requirements: * Experience building a unique, customized sales plan & strategy by prospective client. * Proven negotiation and sales closing techniques to secure profitable business. * Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word. Desired experience, skills and knowledge: * Knowledge of Protection Plan, Extended Service Contract/Warranty or Premium Tech Services and associated ancillary services. * Knowledge of insurance or financial service products. * Industry and product knowledge of Connected Home, Home Automation, and “Internet of Things”. * Management of existing clients that drive organic growth. * Highly motivated, self-starter. * Excellent time management, written, verbal and presentation skills. * Financial acumen and understanding of various financial models within the service industry * Global business experience. * Strong professional network within cable/telecom security, and/or home automation industries
