The successful Associate Statistician candidate would have working knowledge or ability to employ statistical techniques (e.g. logistic and OLS regression, time series analysis, etc.) in order to address client business needs. Additionally, the candidate would have the desire to learn and grow in the insurance/financial industry. Primary Job Accountabilities/ Responsibilities - Perform data gathering, reporting and data analysis - Utilize statistical tools to capture trends and uncover correlations among data - Program in SAS and develop predictive and forecasting models - Develop financial and statistical analyses and present to management - Support the forecasting process and preparation of forecast materials and analysis for the business - Develop tracking methodologies and reports to monitor forecast accuracy and evaluate performance - Design and implement analytical models in Excel and SAS - Formally document analyses and SAS codes for other team members - Ability to provide creative solutions to problems under time constraints
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge - Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering or a related area. Desired Experience, Skills, and Knowledge - Master’s degree preferred. - Knowledge of SQL - Experience/knowledge in predictive modeling and forecasting knowledge of Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS/ETS - Experience/knowledge of logistic regression, OLS regression, time series analysis and survival analysis oral and written communication skills - Ability to switch between projects depending on the needs of the business - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
