Senior Electrical Engineer

Founded in 1946 with an initial focus on structural engineering, Arup first came to the world’s attention with the structural design of the Sydney Opera House, followed by its work on the Centre Pompidou in Paris. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to work on projects in our Boston office.

* Undertake electrical systems design, predominantly for building projects, including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems *Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls * Prepare and review drawings detailing the design * Report writing * Coordinate work with architects and engineers of other disciplines * Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them

* Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering * A sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals as they relate to building systems and site servicing * LEED AP * Electrical knowledge of sustainable design * Experience with 3D BIM / CAD software such AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP * 6-10 years related experience * PE license or ability to obtain license within six months
