Summary
Armstrong Ceilings, a division of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for a Customer Service Representative for our Lancaster, PA call center. The Customer Service Representative will manage orders and respond to inquiries from an incoming 800 number for Armstrong Retail Customers.
Responsibilities
* Handling calls regarding everything from order placement and order confirmation to material availability, product information and requests to rush orders * Communicating with various individuals including those from retailers, consumers, distributors and freight carriers as well as internal contacts such as sales, marketing, production planning, plants, finance and transportation to service customer orders and inquiries
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications for the Customer Service Representative:** * Associate's degree from 2 year college or technical school * Must be able to work M-F 8:30AM-5PM * 1+ years of related experience and/or training * Superior verbal and written communication/customer service skills * A commitment to consistently exceed the customer's expectations * Excellent listening skills and problem-solving skills relative to customer inquiries * The ability to prioritize your workload and perform multiple tasks at once * The ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively within a team environment * The ability to be proactive, take initiative, be accountable and possess a strong propensity towards change and process improvement * Proficiency in operating a PC with basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word **Desired Qualifications for the Customer Service Representative:** * SAP and AS400 systems * Call center experience
