Summary
Armstrong World Industries, Inc. is currently seeking a Sales Manager within our Architectural Specialties department. This position, which reports directly to the Sales Manager Americas, Architectural Specialties, will be responsible for managing Architectural Specialties coverage within Norther California Region focusing on increasing both sales and profitability on all Architectural Specialties products.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with architects, owners, facility managers, contractors and distributors to influence the specification and purchase of Armstrong commercial ceiling systems, specifically the Armstrong Architectural Specialties product lines. - Develops strong relationships with key decision-makers - architects, interior designers, facility managers, contractors, millworkers and general contractors. - Tracks new construction and renovation projects through the construction process to convert specifications to orders. - Responsible for growing the Architectural Specialties business, e.g., increasing market share, improving product mix, increasing average unit price, increasing unit volume, closing major projects. - Creates customer value and competitive advantage. - Functions effectively as a member of a focused selling team to achieve individual, team and business objectives. - Incumbent is expected to learn and improve continuously through individual and team learning, specialized Architectural Specialties training and development initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- College degree is required - Minimum 5 years commercial building product sales experience, preferably in interior product finishes. - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities. - Working knowledge/experience of architectural design process, commercial construction, contracting and distribution. - Working knowledge/experience of specification sales team. - Team player oriented- motivated to achieve own objectives, but puts highest priority on team goals. - Proficiency in MS Office applications (Windows-based), AutoCAD, Excel.
