The Cognos Database Analyst/Developer supports the USCG Engineered System Support Services (ESSS) for Asset Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS) at the USCG Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) in Elizabeth City NC.

* Develop business intelligence system solutions to include Reports, Cubes, and Dashboards currently using the Cognos software tool, including but not limited to, Framework Manager, Report Studio, Transformer, Powerplay Studio, Event Studio, and TM1 for improved asset visibility and produce management decision support views of relevant information within the ALMIS system. * Author internal validation documentation to include, but not limited to, technical specifications, special instructions, and regression test plans. * Develop interfaces for data integration with outside entities to provide a more complete asset view and visibility across program functions currently utilizing the Statistical Analysis software (SAS) toolset, including but not limited, to Data Integration (DI) Studio, Base SAS programming and SAS Management Console. * Assist in installation, configuration, performance improvements, and scheduling utilizing the SAS toolset. * Perform data validation for quality assessment and Master Data Management. * Debug software and identify required corrections to meet specified requirements.

* Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. * 2-5 years of related database analysis and/or administration experience. **Desired:** * Experience with Cognos administration, security, and installing and upgrading Cognos environments. * Work well in a team environment. * Desire to learn and implement new technologies. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and verbal and written presentation skills. Candidate must have a minimum NACLC completed or initiated and be eligible for a secret security clearance before starting.
