We work with many of the Fortune Top 100 companies and we’re proud to be selected as a **Forbes America’s Best Employers for 2015.** ARCADIS is seeking a high performing, experienced Senior Environmental Engineer to provide hands on environmental and technical engineering support for an expanding portfolio of projects for our Bay Area clients. This opportunity has the flexibility to be based in either of our Walnut Creek, San Rafael, or our San Francisco locations. This is a mid to senior level opportunity for a client facing, hands-on technical engineer with soil and groundwater remediation experience. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess solid technical engineering skills along with the ability to manage multiple facets of a project, such as cost estimating, scheduling, data evaluation and report writing. In addition, you will also have professional experience with items such as remediation systems, mechanical injections, and chemical oxidation. Our team is open to environmental engineering experience in any industry, especially oil & gas, state government and federal projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands on environmental and technical engineering support for multi-disciplinary engineering design teams on soil and groundwater remediation projects * Provide project support for report writing, permitting, cost estimating support, data analysis * Environmental permitting * Support proposal efforts for various remediation or industrial projects for a variety of clients * Ensure the project and client quality control measures are being implemented * Provide task management duties for multiple project managers such as budget and schedule tracking * Conduct field support activities for soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects, including soil/groundwater sampling and subcontractor coordination * This position encompasses both office work (technical design, task management, data analysis, report preparation, etc.) as well as local field work (estimated to be up to 25%)
Ideal Candidate
* BS in Environmental Engineering or Science or related discipline * 5+ years of experience * PE is preferred / EIT is required * Excellent written and oral communication skills, * You are self -motivated, exhibit independent thinking skills, and are able to work successfully in a team setting, as well as independently
