Summary
AIS is currently seeking a Microsoft Cloud Engineer to support the Infrastructure Consulting Practice! We're seeking technical consultants with extensive experience in solution design and implementation of Azure and Office 365 technologies to our customers. The ability commute to various client sites nationwide including throughout the DC metro area and nationwide is required and the ability to obtain a DOD clearance is preferred.
Responsibilities
* Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in various Microsoft Cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365) * Strong understanding of local infrastructure topology * Perform strategic assessment and design for workload migrations to Azure and Office 365 * Provide technical documentation and recommendations through discovery * Ability to observe, detect, identify and neutralize complex technical challenges and communicate resolutions in a clear, concise and complete manner * Design and build Microsoft solutions * Participate in sales engineering activities such as statements of work, customer technical meetings, and presentations * Provide training on technologies to other engineers * Serve as a strategic liaison and collaborate with internal teams and customer IT contacts
Ideal Candidate
**Profile of Success:** * Previous experience managing, designing, and implementing Microsoft solutions with recent experience on Azure and Office365 * Background in design and implementation services for Active Directory and Exchange environments and Cloud solutions * Prior experience in a consulting and/or professional services environment * Experience with engineering and architecting hybrid environments and deployments * Advanced expertise of network architectures and data communication protocols including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP * In depth understanding of authentication and authorization services * Intermediate understanding of Firewall, VPN configuration, and switching * Ability to develop complete solutions including sizing, infrastructure, data protection, disaster recovery, and application requirements * Demonstrable enterprise architecture planning and design skills * Industry Relevant Certification (MCSE, MCM, MCA) * Ability to work occasional afterhours/weekends for scheduled work and travel as required * Must have the ability to obtain a minimum of a DoD Secret security clearance to gain access to client sites and networks * Ability to commute throughout the entire DC metro area and nationwide to work onsite with clients as needed **Other Desirable Skills:** * Experience performing email migrations from platforms other than Exchange (Lotus Notes, Google, etc) * Experience with SQL Server * SCCM Experience is a Plus * Experience with Azure Active Directory * Experience with SSO and Federation * SharePoint and CRM experience is a Plus
