Network Segmentation Technical Lead

Apex Systems is in search of a Network Segmentation Technical Lead for a Minnesota food conglomerate. This role is responsible for design and deployment of network segmentation efforts at manufacturing plants across multiple business units. The network segmentation project is a global risk mitigation effort to firewall critical manufacturing plant infrastructure from administrative network infrastructure.

* Develop technical design documents to guide deployment. Development of these design documents will include. These items will require communication between site, project and other global IT personnel: * Document as-is site network architecture in Microsoft Visio * Develop gap analysis based on project requirements. * Document to-be network architecture in Microsoft Visio * Develop technical scope of work based on design documents. This will require coordination between site, project and other global IT personnel. The technical scope of work document will include: * Bill of Materials, cost estimates * Installation risks, special call-outs to be addressed in order to support a successful deployment * Support site deployment * Advise and consult with site, project and third-part installation resources on deployment based on the technical scope of work * May require travel to manufacturing plant locations

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Management Information Systems; OR equivalent experience * 5 years of IT manufacturing network infrastructure experience * Experience working with managed service providers to execute network projects * Knowledge of the plant manufacturing landscape (process control systems, human machine interface systems, data historians etc.…) * Strong network documentation skills utilizing Microsoft Visio * Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills and working relationships with colleagues throughout IT and the business * Demonstrated skill in managing the delivery and installation of network infrastructure within a manufacturing plant environment * Ability to travel to manufacturing locations for up to one week duration
