Summary
This individual contributor will be part of the Media & Entertainment vertical team at Verizon Digital Media Services, focused on communicating features, benefits and value propositions for our Over-the-Top (OTT) and TV Everywhere platform. She/He will be a liaison between VDMS' Product and Marketing teams and will be a key contributor in bringing the world’s leading digital media platform to market.
Responsibilities
* Develop positioning and messaging that differentiates our media & entertainment solutions and products * Work with the Product and Marketing Services teams to create print, digital and video collateral for the sales team and customer engagement programs * Work cross-functionally with Product to plan and execute the GTM strategy for new products and releases. * Create new content and leverage existing materials to train existing and new hires. * Track market trends and create thorough analysis of key competitors (SWOT analysis, pricing, & positioning). * Be involved, as necessary, in the sales process with channel managers, account executives or regional sales managers assigned to specific opportunities * Identify the pain-points and challenges customers may have and strategize with Product to implement solutions.
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years in B2B tech marketing, with at least 2 years of experience in video encoding, online video platforms, video players, video analytics, online video advertising or video application development. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Masters preferred * Demonstrated ability to market video products throughout their entire lifecycle (acquisition, activation, retention). * Proven knowledge of the online video ecosystem and competitive landscape. * Ability to prioritize multiple, ambiguous deadlines and projects. * Entrepreneurial spirit with a team-first orientation and willing to try different things with minimal direction. * Superior communication skills across multiple disciplines (Product, Sales, Marketing) * Quick and effective writer with the ability to create new content and also modify existing content
