Summary
The Huffington Post is seeking a Product Manager to help define and execute product strategy for one of the most popular social news, media, and video companies in the world. As a Product Manager, your portfolio will include creating incredible user experiences across HuffPost's consumer-facing sites and apps. The way people consume content is always changing, so our work is always dynamic. You collaborate every day with smart ambitious colleagues in engineering, design, editorial, and operations. The role demands exceptional creativity, problem-solving skills, a passion for data and details, a friendly upbeat attitude, and good ol' fashioned grit.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with a team of superb product managers and join the product management process at HuffPost. Build consensus on priorities to establish a shared company-wide product vision. * Generate game-changing ideas for features that delight our users and improve how they consume, share, and engage with HuffPost content, and think up tools that empower our editors and adapt our publishing system to the ever-evolving digital media landscape. * Turn great ideas -- your own and others' -- into great products. Define product strategy, understand the industry landscape, creatively leverage data and market analysis, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage products to on-time execution.
Ideal Candidate
* Extensive experience in product management for consumer-facing digital products. * Demonstrated instances in which you planned and executed large-scale projects, leveraged data to great success, and built company-wide consensus. * Technical experience is ideal but not required. Degrees in engineering- and/or design-related programs enthusiastically welcomed. * Passionately interested in how people find, consume, and interact with content; driven by working on products that are used by millions of people and make a big impact. * Strong research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills. * Creativity and confidence to share your unique perspective and ideas. * Ability to receive constructive criticism professionally, and quickly apply the feedback.
