AOL Lifestream is a web-based application that enables users to keep track of all their comments on social networking sites. Integrated with AIM Express, AIM 7, and AIM for Mac, users can publish their statuses, reply to comments on networking sites from their Lifestream tab, and more. AOL Lifestream is a product of AOL.

Summary

As the Product Manager, you'll be responsible for developing profitable products by identifying potential challenges/problems customers face; Conducting market research and competitive analysis; Generating product requirements; Determining specifications for product that solve the problems and answer requirements, Developing timetables, follow up with engineers to provide refinement of specifications, requirements and plans, Pricing and Costing analysis and Financial planning, and building time-integrated plans for product introduction; Developing marketing strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Specify market requirements (identify customer problems) for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Drive solution development across engineering teams, follow up on schedule, and clarify requirement when needed through the development cycle
  • Drive Marketing Communications by providing market requirements, product strategy, product pricing, contract, and positioning
  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, and work with all departments to execute
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product
Ideal Candidate
  • MUST - Previous Product Management experience at 2 companies for 2+ years each
  • MUST - Product Management experience in a Broadcast or Video Streaming company
  • Nice to have - CS or Engineering degree or relevant work experience
  • Nice to have - work experience with Video Technology
  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%).
