HuffPost News, the video news team at The Huffington Post, is looking for a Los Angeles based producer/editor able to work on videos covering a broad range of topics. On a daily basis, we cover politics, world news, entertainment, and even misunderstood Pit Bulls. And that’s just to start.

The right candidate is a creative, proficient and detail-oriented editor with proven success or interest in producing entertaining, informative short pieces for the web.

• Expert in Adobe Premiere/FCP X, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Field shooting, studio setup and After Effects/Motion Graphics experience is a plus.
• Two years of professional experience editing for news, editorial or documentary content highly preferred.
• Strong writing / copy editing experience -- and the ability to take a producers copy and visually bring it to the next level.
• Ability to work with a diverse team of creators on tight deadlines, and guide them to the finish line on time.
• Strong storytelling instincts -- ability to package a news story with a beginning, middle, end and a strong point of view.
