Summary
AOL Platforms seeks an experienced sales & business development executive to join our growing team. The Director, Mobile Publisher Sales, West Region is responsible for creating new business opportunities for AOL Platforms with premium mobile content, game and app publishers. This person will also be responsible for maintaining and growing existing client accounts, while managing an existing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of both sales management and selling business solutions to premium digital content publishers on behalf of an ad technology or network and/or SaaS software. Experience with mobile publishers and app developers is a major plus.
Responsibilities
* Work with Marketing to generate publisher sales leads for AOL within the assigned territory * Communicate the business benefits of the ONE by AOL: Publisher platform, products, and capabilities to potential publisher customers. Current key capabilities include our Real-Time-Bidding (RTB), Demand Mediation, 3rd Party Data, Brand Safety and Ad Serving solutions, with more to come * Whether as RFP responses or as direct pitches, develop, propose, negotiate and close proposals that address clients’ business needs * Maintain an active sales pipeline, prioritize accounts and clearly communicate sales status to management * Meet/exceed quarterly sales targets * Collaborate with sales colleagues and the cross-functional teams at AOL to deliver superior client service, including Marketing, Publisher and Tech Services, Product Management, Engineering and Demand Sales / Services * Act as a sales leader and “brand ambassador” for AOL Platforms in the West region, representing the culture, values, and ambitions of the leading premium mobile ad exchange * Manage a team of publisher development and sales professionals in the Western US region
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of relevant work experience; preferred 2+ years in digital / mobile * Proficiency in mobile advertising technology and/or programmatic markets is strongly preferred * Digital advertising background with solid understanding of pricing models (CPM/CPC/CPI), ad technology, and performance metrics (CTR, fill rates, etc.) Knowledge of and strong contacts in the mobile games and application marketplace is highly preferred * Consultative sales experience with ability to formulate business solutions that address clients’ goals
