Front End/Angular Developer

AOD Software is looking for a Senior Front-end/Angular Developer to join a newly-formed team at AOD developing a software application for social interaction/collaboration in the healthcare industry.

This role will see you leading the technical aspects of the development effort as it relates to the client-side of the application. Fundamentally, we're looking for intelligent people with a hunger to learn new things, and the ability to convey ideas, solutions and issues to product managers, other engineers and senior management.

The right candidate will have a passion for client side development and performance. Applicants should have a deep understanding of responsive & adaptive development, semantic HTML markup, well-written/concise and modular CSS, and follow Javascript best practices and idiosyncrasies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create application UI from wireframes and designs in Sketch
• Work very closely with engineering leads, designers, and product manager to gather requirements & specifications.
• Contribute to overall User Experience for the product
• Help write user stories and acceptance criteria for same
• Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years experience architecting and developing complex JavaScript-powered applications
• 2+ years of experience with Angular.js
• Experience with Sass (Compass a plus)
• Experience with web workers, web sockets, IndexedDB and current web application technologies
• Phenomenal team player with exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Passion for improving coding and development practices
• Expert knowledge of client-side web technologies (Javascript, HTML, CSS)
• Strong understanding of front-end optimization techniques and best practices
• Experience in building responsive layouts for mobile/tablet/desktop
• Demonstrable expertise with Twitter Bootstrap 3
• Experience with a back-end programming language (.Net, Ruby/Rails, etc. - we’re a .Net shop currently)
• Experience and understanding of MVC development fundamentals
• Experience with Git
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Digital Arts, or Equivalent Experience (4-6 years)
• Experience with automated end-to-end and unit testing - test runners (Karma, etc.), assertion libraries (QUnit, Chai, etc.), and clients (Selenium, PhantomJS, SlimerJS, etc.)

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Grunt or Gulp
• Experience consuming third-party APIs/libraries (payment, video, etc.)
• Experience working within HIPAA-compliant or other medical/healthcare organization a huge plus.
• Experience developing web-based software for the medical/healthcare industry also a big plus.
• Prior experience developing social and/or other collaborative applications is a plus
