Public Relations Manager

Responsible for leading the communication and public relations strategy and planning for Anthem's crisis communications and issues management function, including media relations, internal communications, issues management, promotional public relations, relationships with key external stakeholders and/or community relations.

- Plans and implements crisis and issues management strategies which are in line with business and reputational goals. - Develops and manages relationships with media, network partners, and key stakeholders as necessary. - Researches, develops, reviews and/or edits communications materials for senior management. - Partners with leadership to develop and implement a strategic communications plan in support of overall crisis and issues management strategy. - May be responsible for obtaining bids to ensure cost effective spending on department programs or initiatives. - Provides guidance or direction to team members on departmental projects.

- Requires a BA/BS degree and 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. - Agency experience preferred. - Working knowledge of managed care and the health insurance industry preferred.
