RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading research and product validation with product managers, designers, and developers to articulate user needs, refine user stories, and translate those goals into ideas and designs
- Leading new feature ideation and prototyping efforts through design sprints and usability studies
- Advocating low-fidelity artifacts, prototyping, and other lean UX techniques able to rapidly and efficiently validate and refine product ideas and designs
- Creation of wireframes, user flows, and prototypes
- Collaborating with product designers to ensure that interaction design is consistent with Animoto’s visual language and pattern library
- Presenting research and designs to internal stakeholders, and fellow team members
- Managing your time wisely and keeping your team up-to-date
- Communicating often and clearly with all members of the team
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of professional work experience, at least 2 explicitly in UX
- Must have an online portfolio
- Must have taken part in or led research and user validation efforts
- Web application development experience and native mobile experience, preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in design, or a significant amount of demonstrable experience on the job
- Familiarity with working in an Agile environment
- Well-versed in web and device interactivity and usability principles
- Significant prototyping experience, with examples you are able to walk through during an interview
