Responsibilities
* Selected candidate will be responsible for RF topology selection and design, RF system analysis, RF system block characterization and specification. In addition, operate radio frequency test equipment and are responsible for the design of RF circuits per specifications, simulations and analysis of RF circuits, understanding of analog circuits, characterization of board of chip layout requirements. * To work in a customer technical support team, close to customer design teams as well as close to the customer who is develop their mobile product based on baseband and RF solutions. To establish technical expertise in mobile RF solutions and utilize this knowledge to: - To front all RF related issues, working with the customer to recreate, understand RF issues and to investigate root cause - Provide technical link between customer and RF development teams at all stages of project lifecycle - Communicate requirements and issues to HW design teams, generate data to support investigations and aid quick resolution of customer issues - Provide input to customer schematic and layout reviews to ensure optimal performance of RF transceivers in customer design - Help the company and customer with yield and spread related issues by running RF verification tests and check margins against the 3GPP specification - Work closely with cross functional teams on complex system issue to determine creative and effective resolution * Positive, solution orientated team player with ability to communicate in an international multi-site environment. * The successful candidate will be an RF expert with proven experience in mobile communications product development. Detailed knowledge of RF transceiver technologies is a prerequisite and an ability to utilize experience gained in RF design and development in a challenging customer support role.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements:** - Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering with 4+ years of experience or Master's of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering - 4-7 years of detailed RF experience in Mobile product - Detailed knowledge of the full RF subsystem and main RF components with an ability to root cause 3GPP performance deficits within the system - Expertise in use of communication testers (CMW500, MT8820C etc) and associated RF test equipment (SA, SG, NA...) - Good understanding 3GPP UE RF Spec. on GSM/WCDMA/TDSCDMA/LTE **Preferred Requirements** - Direct customer support experience, joint issue resolutions with designers, support engineers and customers - Mobile phone development experience preferred. - Knowledge of RF testing and calibration techniques combined with practical -PCB component changes and modifications required for on-site investigations - Knowledge of 3GPP standards in relation to RF parametric testing
