Data Entry Clerk

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., through its subsidiaries, operates as a multinational property and casualty insurance company. Founded in 1998 to provide workers’ compensation insurance to small businesses in the United States, the company now operates in three segments around the globe: Small Commercial Business Insurance, Specialty Risk and Extended Warranty, and Specialty Middle-Market Property and Casualty Program Insurance.

The purpose of the position is to be responsible for carrying out the functions and goals of the Department and objectives of the organization within the guidelines and procedures that have been established by the President. The Data Entry Clerk provides support by ensuring all company data is entered accurately and completely into the computer system.

* Operates keyboard to enter alphanumeric data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen. * Compares data entered with source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Reviews system edits and makes corrections as needed. * Searches company database and files and/or confers with other departmental staff members and selects the best solution to solve problems, expedite correction or adjustment. * Communicates necessary business information or issues to the immediate supervisor or other staff members as appropriate. * Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and meeting monthly deadlines.

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Minimum 2 years data entry experience * Data entry skills and accuracy * Basic Microsoft Windows experience a must * Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. * Ability to interactive effectively with other employees of the organization. * Dependable, reliable person
