IS Business Analyst

This role entails helping IS implement solutions by working with stakeholders to develop the requirements of a project or initiative. Also plans and conducts the analysis of data to unlock knowledge and insights about the health of portfolios, value delivered, and improvement opportunities

* Apply leading edge informatics methods and technologies to analyze and interpret data in ways that provide knowledge and insights in support decision making. * Partner with colleagues across multiple areas to identify data analysis opportunities that can deliver valuable insights from a diverse set of data sources. * Publishes findings using collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Box. * Develop and implement solutions following Amgen’s processes and best practices, manage the lifecycle of the implemented solutions.

**Basic Qualifications** * Master’s degree or * Bachelor’s degree & 2 years of directly related experience or * Associate's degree & 6 years of directly related experience or * High school diploma/GED & 8 years of directly related experience **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree (computer science, information systems or related discipline) * 2+ years of experience in gathering and developing business requirements and informatics analysis * Experience analyzing/mining datasets * Experience in database fundamentals (RDBMS, Graph, NoSQL), SDLC-software development life cycle, and Agile software development methodology * Strong learning agility, innovation, and problem solving skills * Strong written and oral communication skills * History of analytical and troubleshooting skills * Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Self-starter with a high degree of initiative * Highly motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision * Team-oriented, placing priority on the success of the organization
