Summary
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, and Sanitation requirements while troubleshooting and repairing various pieces of packaging equipment. In addition, this candidate will establish and sustain effective relationships with all team members so that they may work together to promote innovation and cooperation in order to solve problems. Responsible for performing a variety of skilled preventive maintenance duties and repair.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair Packaging equipment, equipment, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. * Complete Preventive and Predictive maintenance of all packaging equipment. * Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on all packaging equipment * Research parts needed for work/repairs and properly utilize the Parts Inventory and Work Order systems. * Read Blue Prints and Electrical Schematics while Trouble shooting Mechanical and Electrical issues * Demonstrate a working Knowledge of lock out/tag out regulations. * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices while performing daily tasks. * Work in all areas of the facility and facility as needed * Complete all other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Skills and Requirements :** * Must be able to understand and follow work instructions in English * Work as a team player to solve problems, contribute ideas and make continuous improvements to the way work is done. * Available to work overtime (end of shift and weekends). * Comfortable working from heights of 6’ to 65’ above the ground. * Skilled in the use of hand and power tools * 1 to 5 years Industrial Facilities Experience * Excellent communication skills * Highly Motivated * Able to work in a self-directed team environment with minimal supervision and direction * Pre-employment skills test, drug screen and background check required **Education/training:** * Must Have GED equivalent or High School Diploma * Completion of a Accredited Apprentice program is strongly preferred * Ability to take on future learning opportunities. **Work Environment:** * Job is performed in a food manufacturing environment. * While performing duties, may be required to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, walk Plant floors that could exceed one mile per travel per day. * Full range of body movements including use of arm, hands, bending, kneeling, crouching * Inside conditions include exposure to moderate noise levels; will also be exposed to wide variations in temperature. * Able to occasionally lift 50lbs. unassisted.
