Administrative Specialist

American National Insurance Company was founded in 1905 by William L. Moody, Jr. and is headquartered in Galveston, Texas. The Company has multiple subsidiaries, and has operations in Springfield, Missouri; Glenmont, New York; and League City, Texas.

* Deliver faxes or printed documents. * Update phone list for department as required with turnover. * Distribute and log Net Promoter Score surveys for the Claims Department * Complete necessary filing and copying as required. * Indexing of all claims documents for adjusters and sending to appropriate areas. * Organize and manage supplies – maintaining an adequate inventory. * Open and Sort incoming mail, checks, and transmittal letters. * Record attendance on daily/weekly/monthly basis and notify other departments how to route calls. * Maintain manual diary system time limit demands for Managers and team members. * Maintain weekly/monthly claim activity reports of file activity for management review. * Maintain work status reports and other reports as requested to monitor department performance. * Creating, maintaining and updating various spreadsheets tracking divisional and unit results, as requested by the Director and/or Managers. * Diagnose and make minor repairs to fax machines, printers and copiers. Assist others in using these machines. Know when to ask for outside service representatives to service machines * Assist with Special Projects on behalf of Claim Services * Sort and distribute checks * Maintain Divisional Bulletin Boards * Report and track overnights

* High school education required * Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) * Typing skills of 40 wpm * Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook * Possess strong organizational skills * Ability to work well with others
