Summary
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Content Strategy, to join our team to help us create and deliver a global content strategy that reaches across segments and supports global and regional efforts. This Senior Manager will join the team responsible for developing the content that provides value to customers and prospects, and drives awareness, acquisition, and loyalty for the business. By developing a strong understanding of the American Express GCP Brand & Messaging, as well as by measuring performance to optimize the strategy and apply best practices, this Senior Manager will provide critical support to enable GCP’s success.
Responsibilities
* Create and execute strategies for developing innovative content that engages business owners, provides them with practical resources to grow their businesses, and demonstrates how American Express products and services can help them achieve that growth. * Manage a team of freelance editors, journalists, photographers, designers, and videographers to produce daily content of various types (articles, infographics, illustrations, videos, etc). * Work closely with internal teams and agency partners to craft best-in-class content experiences to support large brand campaigns. * Develop an organic search traffic strategy and lead its day-to-day implementation. * Work with legal and brand teams to ensure that all content produced is compliant and accurate, including managing daily reviews of all content published. * Manage the development of social media assets for certain projects. * Stay on top of the latest trends in content marketing and social media, and determine how to keep OPEN Forum content on the cutting edge. * Partner with the product development team to influence product features, design, and the overall development roadmap * Be the voice and advocate for the customer by leveraging data and customer insights to drive decision making * Partner with our regional Marketing teammembers to both gather best practices from regional initiatives, as well as consult on strategies for local digital tactics * Partner across American Express as necessary to ensure Brand and messaging alignment
Ideal Candidate
* Undergraduate degree * Excellent strategic and thought leadership skills * Proven editorial skills, combining creativity and an eye for quality * Proven brand marketing skills, with a customer and creative mindset * Interest in breaking the “status quo” and developing truly innovative content * Results-driven and detail-oriented * Ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities * Strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues and external partners * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Experience partnering with and managing external vendors preferred. * Passion for and interest in new communications tools, social media, and digital media
