BI Developer

The BI Developer will work as part of the Architecture and Data Management Team to build efficient and scalable data solutions for consumption via ad-hoc query or analysis using top tier reporting suites. The BI Developer will be a key contributor to the improvement of analytic and reporting systems by improving tools and processes used to create reports and extract data for further analysis. The BI Developer will work with BI and Data Warehousing architects in detailed design efforts, as well as support the technical administration and maintenance of enterprise reporting systems within the Society such as Business Objects and SSRS. As the main consumer of project deliverables are report analysts in the business, the BI Developer will be client facing and interface with project teams directly, ensuring the best possible outcome for the project.

* Design and build reporting universes and reports within Business Objects XI R3 and R4. * Work with the BI Architect and BI Solutions Manager to examine current state of reporting and analysis resources and help design a future state. * Interface with report analysts within the business in order to examine current state reporting systems and help define more efficient systems for business use. * Fully document existing universes, reports and architecture for all Business Intelligence environments. * Provide consultation to others in analyzing and resolving difficult problems involving any part of BI applications or data movement processes.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum of 6+ years in IT data-related fields including Data Management, ETL Development, BI or similar. * Minimum of 4+ years in Business Intelligence roles (reporting, analytics) utilizing Business Objects (preferred) or SQL Server Reporting Services. * Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, data modeling, physical database design, and performance tuning. * SSIS design/development in SQL Server 2012 a plus. * Prior knowledge of Siebel database structures a plus. * PL/SQL or Transact-SQL coding. * Strong technical, analytic, and problem-solving skills. * Strong familiarity with Oracle 10g+ and Microsoft SQL Server (versions 2005 and higher) SQL development. * Business Objects XIR3 (or greater) Universe Design, Administration and Report Building * Ability to work well on multiple tasks simultaneously. * Must be strong self-starter able to work independently under limited supervision. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. * Requires skill in completing program and system documentation, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent time management skills.
