The engineering and project delivery operations will be managed through three geographic business units: Americas; Northern Europe & Commonwealth of Independent States; Africa, Middle East, Asia & Southern Europe. The Global Power Group, the power equipment business, will operate across all geographies.
Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is seeking an Environmental Professional to join our Atlanta (Kennesaw), GA office and become an integral member of our team.
- Performs field exploration, inspections, and analyses; provides technical support with supervision
- Acts as a data gatherer; prepares charts; runs computer programs
- Performs field testing; uses equipment and instrumentation
- Interprets data and test results
- Prepares field reports, internal correspondence, sections of formal reports
- With experience, may supervise subcontractors and/or company employees
- Follows company safety standards, site safety standards, and provides all required permitting
- Contacts vendors; researches literature and regulatory requirements
- Conducts engineering, scientific and routine calculations
- Prepares and evaluates data sets
- Assists in preparing reports and proposal writing
Required
- Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering (M.S. preferred)
- 0-2 years related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and scientific principles
- Excellent computer applications and spreadsheet skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Prior experience conducting engineering and scientific studies
- OSHA 40-hour training for hazardous waste site operations
- Master of Science degree in enviro
- Field coordination experience
Physical Requirements
- Able to do physically demanding field work such as well and soil sampling, packing heavy shipping containers, etc.
- Must be able to travel without limitations and perform unimpeded standing and walking in industrial and field environments for up to 12 hours per workday
- Must be physically capable of performing work in H&S p
