Summary
The Web Developer is a fulltime exempt position reporting to the Director of Technology and Operations in our Chicago, IL office for the Quality Performance Division of Altegra Health. The Developer role requires knowledge of standard Microsoft development technologies. As a member of the Quality Performance Division within Altegra Health, this position supports the HEDIS.com web application. HEDIS.com is an industry leader in providing quality of care measures to healthcare organizations. This position will support the engine used to certify the measures, and partner with other application developers to enhance transparency and traceability for the measure calculations.
Responsibilities
* Coding: Independently develop code, test, debug, maintain, modify, and install complex software programs. Apply structured programming techniques and standards. * Testing: Develop and execute unit and integration tests. * Analysis/Design: Analyze complex technical requirements and make determinations for modifications of existing programs/modules. Create technical designs. * Technical Support: Research and resolve complex issues and implement longer term solutions to frequently occurring issues. * Documentation: Develop program specifications and flowcharts as needed * Communication: Convey problems, solutions, updates and project status to peers and management. Develop and maintain clear and succinct documentation. * Planning: Prepare time estimates and attend post-implementation reviews. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Education required: Bachelor degree in computer science * Experience required: 0-2 years of software development * Specific Technologies Required: C# .NET, jQuery, MVC, IIS 7.5, SQL Server 2014, T-SQL, SSIS * Specific Technologies Preferred: HTML 5.0, Angular JS * Industry knowledge preferred: healthcare claims/lab/pharmacy/membership data * Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans. * Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
