Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Altegra Health™ is a national vendor of technology-enabled, end-to-end payment solutions providing health plans and other risk-bearing organizations with the data they need to expertly manage member care and ensure appropriate reimbursement.

This is a fulltime exempt level position reporting to the Vice President of IT Operations for Altegra Health & will be based in our Alpharetta, GA location. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will have a strong technical skillset backed by at least 10 years of experience, working alongside fellow systems engineers, lead by example, and will be looking for that next enterprise-level challenge. This role will be responsible for understanding the company’s current business goals, as well as its technical capabilities, and implement/manage a technology infrastructure from where our IT services can meet and exceed expectations.

• Contribute at the highest level building the technical infrastructure across our corporate systems as well as our revenue-generating, high-availability cloud offerings
• You have no problem taking on a good, complex challenge whether it involves the global network, systems or storage platform on the latest SAN technologies
• Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure: Servers, Storage, desktop, and VDI Infrastructure.
• Provide an IT Infrastructure architectural framework for development, maintenance, and enhancement environments.
• Required an end to end view of systems architecture and resiliency
• Focus on important data center facilities issues, including power, compute, or data center administration
• You pride yourself in how you build and manage relationships: vertically with supervisors and your direct reports, and horizontally with your peers
• Deliver strategic current projects, while balancing daily operation priorities but constantly strategizing and planning for future, imminent growth across all levels of the shared IT infrastructure
• You will become involved in critical decisions regarding roadmap for improvements to architecture/infrastructure, and operations across all levels
• Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements
• Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study, or relevant work experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and operational management of technical infrastructure, with an emphasis on VMware 5.x virtualization, enterprise storage, blade technology and Windows Server 2008 R2 in a multi-tenant, multi-datacenter environment
• Microsoft SQL Server highly desirable
• 5 Years of Microsoft Exchange
• Experience working in a highly virtualized environment using VMWare (preferred), Hyper-V, VM Turbo, Xen, NetApp, Cisco Switch, Cisco UCS, Avere
• Experienced VDI architecture and demonstration of successfully deployment at enterprise level
• Experience with SANs, clustering, and storage virtualization, replication and fabric switch management. Knowledge of all flash array enterprise storage desirable
• Senior engineering level understanding of public and private cloud infrastructures (I.e. AWS, VMware vCloud Air, Microsoft Azure)
• Track record of designing, deploying and supporting Windows Server and Linux operating Systems in data centers
• Endpoint Strategies, and technologies, desktop packaging and deployment
• Strong IT security background, knowledge of SSAE, IT audit and implications and applications to a highly regulated IT industry
• Antivirus deployment and stability
• Hands on experience working in a datacenter covering rack space, power and cooling
• Ability to work harmoniously with management team of all these verticals closely
• Works without supervision with complete latitude for independent judgment.
• May mentor less experienced peers and display leadership as needed
