Summary
The Stamping Process Manager Plans, directs, and coordinates the stamping manufacturing processes in the Stamping Facility. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing the process of continuous improvement to reduce scrap, increase efficiency and equipment utilizations.
Responsibilities
* Responsibilities require knowledge of all products and their operating characteristics, plant layout, production capacity of department, plant procedures, practices, safety, and quality standards. * Confers with vendors to determine tooling (dies and gauges) product specifications and arrange purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. * Manage and instruct the set-up and programming of progressive presses. * Develop and implement training for new presses, train supervisors and operators. * Make reports to management on production efficiency and work completion dates. Executes administrative policies through subordinate supervisors. * Responsible for ensuring TS16949 Quality Systems and Environmental Management System activities are followed within the plant.
Ideal Candidate
* A Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Management/Operations or other related field is preferred, but not mandatory. * 7+ year’s progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility. * Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends. * PLC experience capable of editing part programs and creating programs * Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement. * Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills. * Valid drivers’ license is required.
