Software Developer

Altair is focused on the development and broad application of simulation technology to synthesize and optimize designs, processes and decisions for improved business performance.

* Develop optimization support for new responses from various solution sequences (including but not limited to transient, nonlinear, thermal) in OptiStruct. * Develop the necessary algorithms and code for sensitivity analysis of new responses to be used in optimization formulations. * Work with the optimization team as and when needed in the development of new manufacturing constraints/responses (Ex: Additive Layer Manufacturing) * Debug the code whenever necessary and address defects quickly. * Develop QA problems for testing features * Run timing studies to improve code performance. * Work closely with others in the team to complete major tasks. * Meet project requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

* Minimum Education Required: Master’s Degree or PhD * Programming knowledge in Fortran, * Basic knowledge of finite element analysis, development of optimization support including sensitivity analysis.
