Software Developer

Altair is focused on the development and broad application of simulation technology to synthesize and optimize designs, processes and decisions for improved business performance.

• Develop optimization support for new responses from various solution sequences (including but not limited to transient, nonlinear, thermal) in OptiStruct.
• Develop the necessary algorithms and code for sensitivity analysis of new responses to be used in optimization formulations.
• Work with the optimization team as and when needed in the development of new manufacturing constraints/responses (Ex: Additive Layer Manufacturing)
• Debug the code whenever necessary and address defects quickly.
• Develop QA problems for testing features
• Run timing studies to improve code performance.
• Work closely with others in the team to complete major tasks.
• Meet project requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

• Minimum Education Required: Master’s Degree or PhD
• Programming knowledge in Fortran,
• Basic knowledge of finite element analysis, development of optimization support including sensitivity analysis.
