Responsibilities
* Manages, controls and monitors Acceptance, Warranty and Retrofit work at customer’s location to ensure highest level quality of vehicle is delivered and remains in safe operating condition during the duration of the warranty. * Responsible for the overall operation of the site(s), including all issues pertaining to the operation of the offices/trailers, personnel and any company assets. * Interfaces closely with customer to investigate and resolve problems regarding company products and reported defects, including open items identified at the time of delivery. * Manages and coordinates the work activities and material control at site. * Manages expenses and man-hour budget of all site locations relating to their specific assignment. * Manages the company documentation on acceptance testing, modifications and all warranty work performed on company products at the site, including any vendor warranty work. * Directs and coordinates warranty and quality activities effectively to maintain company delivery schedules. * Attends meetings relating to the contract including vendor and customer meetings. * Ensures the maximum number of rail cars are available for service. * Ensures that service related issues are resolved quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction. * Issues periodic reports to upper management tracking the performance of the rail cars. * Develops and manages warranty plans. * Oversees all Field Service Reporting and modification completion reporting. * Responsible for the control of the site Petty Cash account, including monthly reports. * Liaison daily with the Senior Manager of Field Activities to ensure that all clients policies are being followed at the site(s).
Ideal Candidate
* 10 years of experience * Must have prior experience with locomotives or rail cars * Bachelor's degree in Engineering * Must be able to develop appropriate business strategies aligned to clients Management Policy. Must be able to work well under pressure. * Manage position to make best use of employees; select employees and develop their capabilities; plan for succession of key personnel; counsel employees effectively; administer discipline; handle human resource matters in accordance with company policy and procedures. * Good computer skills * Strong ability to work with customers * Report Writing skills * Ability to manage daily operations and manage Data
