Registered Nurse for Endoscopy

Allina Health is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of illness and enhancing the greater health of individuals, families and communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect care of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, and indirect care of neonate within an assigned area. The RN plans and participates in patient cares in Endoscopy, Post Anesthesia Recovery Room Nurse, and Ambulatory Care Unit Nurse to ensure safe and therapeutically effective nursing care.

* Manages patient care utilizing the Nursing Process skills of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation based on patient age and physiological and psychosocial needs. Patient Safety is always considered. * Demonstrates technical competence in performance of nursing skills, tasks and procedures according to department standards. * Delegates patient care activities and directly supervises the performance of NA’s, LPN’s, and other less experienced RN’s. * Recognizes, coordinates and provides education to patients, significant others and members of the health care team. Provides effective discharge planning. * Documents a complete and accurate record of patient care. * Performs other duties as dictated by the needs of the department.

**Education** * Bachelors of Science/Art in nursing (or higher degree) preferred. Associate degree prepared RN must be actively enrolled in Bachelor completion program. **Qualification/Skills** * Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a BSN and current licensure in the State of Minnesota. * Surgery Center(OR, ACU, PACU) or Critical Care experience preferred. * Minimum of five years experience in Med-Surg nursing with BLS and ACLS certification. Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job
