Responsibilities
The Departments of Oncology and Inflammation Research are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to investigate mechanisms of immune mediated pathogenesis in cancer, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases, and to discover and develop innovative therapies to treat these diseases. The candidate will independently lead a laboratory group as well as project teams, and will collaborate with other research scientists at multiple Amgen sites, including teams in other functional areas such as Therapeutic Discovery, Medical Sciences, and Computational Biology. The candidate is expected to perform cutting-edge research by integrating knowledge from human genetics, immunology and oncology, and to development novel therapies by using various innovative technologies and approaches. In addition, the candidate will be expected to publish and to present at national/international conferences. IND15 GD15
Ideal Candidate
Doctorate degree & 2 years of scientific experience OR Master’s degree & 6 years of scientific experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of scientific experience Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D or MD, with postdoctoral trainings with research experience in the fields of immunology, oncology, cancer immunotherapy, microbiology or human genetics Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement
