Responsibilities
This engineer will support various facets of F35 signature integration. They will perform signature predictions to support design refinements as new manufacturing and field usage data becomes available. They will support proposal and/or schedule and bid development for block upgrades, F35 derivative development, and LRIP contracts. They will analyze and report the results of signature flight tests and ATF tests. They will design, conduct, and report on full scale component, and sub component tests. They will evaluate supplier data for consistency, accuracy, and suitability for F35. They will provide factory support and make recommendations on improvements in manufacturing processes or in design in support of cost reduction or signature improvement. They will support full scale testing of the HALO model conducted for Supportable Low Observables (SLO) and derivative configuration development. They will be responsible for suggesting and analyzing advanced signature reduction techniques for certain features of the F35 such as inlet, radar, canopy, exhaust, etc. This position requires the ability to travel frequently when needed. Basic Qualifications Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires the ability to travel frequently when needed.
Ideal Candidate
Technical degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or physics. Desired skills A Master's degree in physics or electrical engineering. Ability to learn to run the suite of signature prediction tools including X-Patch, 2d and 2d MOM codes, and material stack codes.
